Business is often done at neck-breaking speed in today’s fast paced world – and the real estate industry is no exception.
An active property market combined with our steadily rising population and a shortage of middle-range homes in Nelson has meant that lately I have often been juggling several offers in the air at the same time.
This morning was a great example. I had not one, nor two, but three offers come in before lunchtime, all of which had to be dealt with promptly and efficiently. What a day!
It was exhilarating, exciting, and yes, very very busy. Although there was a huge amount of pressure on me to cater to six different groups of people at the same time, I got the job done – and loved every minute.
It’s times like these I’m so thankful for my PA, Lara, who does such an amazing job of keeping my diary in check, paperwork administered and systems running smoothly.
But most importantly I thrive when I’m under pressure because I don’t perceive being busy as stressful. I guess that’s because I love what I do – and of course, that is the greatest gift of all.
