I love those moments in life where we catch ourselves laughing at something totally unpredictable – like ourselves.
I had an occasion just like this a few days ago. I realised I had once again spent the entirety of my morning working from my car.
Parked on the side of the road, with papers strewn across the passenger seat, a pen in hand and my mobile phone precariously balanced on the dashboard, I couldn’t help but stop and smile at the hilarity of my situation.
The irony was, I had been so ensconced in my work, and enjoying every minute I might add, that I had no idea how much time had passed – or how it might have looked!
In this day and age, armed with an increasing array of digital ammunition, it’s all too easy to do business from any where and at any time.
And, in the world of real estate this is of course a definite advantage. Negotiating deals, fielding enquiries and liaising with consultants can happen at every minute of the day – and for me, this just happens to be from the comfort of my four-wheeled friend (aka Black Beauty) on many occasions.
The point I’m trying to make, is in the chaotic lives we live it can be therapeutic to have a good laugh, even at our own expense.
We can tend to take life way too seriously, so it’s liberating to take a light hearted slant from time to time. Let’s face it, laughter is always the best medicine.
And if you see Black Beauty on the side of your road for an hour or two, never fear, for it’s probably just me working up a storm in true Nina fashion!
